For decades Tommy Ray Moody has riveted, rocked, and charmed fans worldwide with his wailing tasteful rockin’ blues guitar style and soul-filled singing, His performances have led him across coliseum and arena stages nationwide as well as legendary venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues and B.B. King’s. He has played outdoor rock and blues festivals, including the Doheny Beach Blues Fest, Tampa Bay Blues Festival, Napa Valley Blues Fest and one of the most prestigious - the Fender Catalina Island Blues Festival that showcases the top guitar players in the world. Playing Catalina earned Tommy Ray an endorsement by Fender in the 90’s.

Tommy had played all over the world before the age of twenty. His slick guitar playing, front-man good looks and driven attitude caught the attention of Grammy Award winning producer Kenny Kerner (KISS/Gladys Knight/Humble Pie/Badfinger/The Sweet/Johnny & Edgar Winter) and together they formed the group Virgin, succeeding with one of the highest grossing tours of the glitz-rock era. Kerner introduced him to manager Bill Aucoin (KISS/Billy Squier/Pat Benatar/Billy Idol) and Aucoin’s management, Tommy was signed to record at Warner-Curb Records with Gene Simmons (KISS) producing. Tommy has earned respect and accolades from his peers while sharing the stage with various blues luminaries including: Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Taj Majal, Steppenwolf, Yes, Koko Taylor, Blue Oyster Cult, The Vaughn Brothers, Foghat, Robert Cray, Tower of Power, Doyle Bramhall Jr, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Johnny Lang, John Cafferty (Beaver Brown Band) Larry Hoppin -(Orleans),
Eddie Money and James Montgomery.

Having worked as a session musician, touring guitarist/vocalist and producer and writer of movie soundtracks and scores, Tommy Ray Moody has returned to his roots and early influences. He is back in the studio and working on his latest solo album featuring the sound of the lowdown, dirty rock & blues.

Tommy’s current work is highly anticipated by fans and colleagues alike, and will feature many notable friends and renowned players, including touring session drummer Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett (“The Jackson’s”/Sting/Elton John/Madonna), bassist Jeff Nelson (Cameo) and keyboardist/songwriter Dave Schulz (Eric Sardinas/Goo Goo Dolls/Fuel/Fastball).
